Hammers reach play-off final

Goals from Matthew Etherington and Christian Dailly did the damage as West Ham overturned Ipswich Town’s first-leg advantage to book their place at the Millennium Stadium.

Town led 1-0 after the Nationwide Division One play-off semi-final first leg at Portman Road, but Etherington levelled the aggregate score with a stunning strike before Dailly scored the priceless winner from a corner.

The Hammers dominated their opponents from first to last at Upton Park and deserved the chance to progress to a play-off final against London rivals Crystal Palace.
