Rovers take a point from the 'Cross

Stephen Grant scored a stunning equaliser as Rovers held on for a hard fought point at Turner’s Cross.

The sides swapped goals in a thrilling first half. City took the lead on 15 minutes when Billy Woods’ looping header from Kevin Doyle’s deep cross beat ex-City keeper Noel Mooney.

But a brilliant goal brought Rovers level 10 minutes later when Grant curled in a right-footer having skilfully controlled a Mark O’Brien cross.
