Martin O’Neill tonight gambled his side’s return to form ahead of the Tennent’s Scottish Cup final by making eight changes from the side secured the whitewash over Rangers.

Only Neil Lennon, Stephen Pearson and David Marshall remained in the champions’ 11 which meant Saturday’s goal hero Chris Sutton and departing Henrik Larsson were missing.
