Celtic star Alan Thompson today escaped punishment for slapping Rangers’ Fernando Ricksen in the face.

Celtic star Alan Thompson today escaped punishment for slapping Rangers’ Fernando Ricksen in the face.

The Dutch firebrand accused the English international of a “vicious” slap after Saturday’s dramatic late winner at Parkhead but the midfielder insisted that it was just a “playful tap”.
