South African defender Mark Fish has agreed a new one-year deal with Charlton.

The 30-year-old is pushing for a return to first-team action after a domestic accident in March when he fell through a glass table.

Fish has made two outings for the reserves in recent weeks and could feature against Leeds in the Barclaycard Premiership tomorrow.

He joined the Addicks from Bolton for £700,000 (€1m) in November 2001.
