Primus out for Portsmouth
Linvoy Primus has been ruled out of Portsmouth’s last three matches of the Barclaycard Premiership season by a hamstring injury as Harry Redknapp’s side prepare to become the first to beat Arsenal in the league this season.
Primus limped out after only 22 minutes of the home draw with Fulham on Saturday which ensured Pompey’s top-flight survival.
Redknapp has to decide who replaces Primus as Arsenal travel to Fratton Park tomorrow, looking for a repeat of the 5-1 drubbing they dished out to Portsmouth in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Former Swansea teenager Richard Duffy, who made his debut as Primus’ replacement, stands by for a starting chance – while John Curtis and Petri Pasanen are other contenders .
Redknapp said: “The chance is there for us to get the points to take us into the middle of the table, and our results have improved since we last played Arsenal.”
PROVISIONAL SQUAD: Hislop, Duffy, Stefanovic, De Zeeuw, Curtis, Pasanen, Taylor, Faye, Smertin, Stone, Quashie, LuaLua, Yakubu, Wapenaar, Berkovic, Harper, Sheringham
