McCartney ready for Sunderland return

Sunderland skipper George McCartney is ready to re-join the battle for Premiership football after shaking off his knee injury.

The Northern Ireland international, who celebrated his 23rd-birthday today, has missed the last two games after injuring both knees during his side’s 1-0 hone defeat by West Brom on April 18.
