Dailly laments lack of Scottish goals

Scotland defender Christian Dailly admitted he was disappointed his side had not at least scored in tonight’s 1-0 defeat in Denmark.

The Danes were the better side but it was an improved performance from the Scots in the light of recent results.

And Dailly told Sky Sports 1: “It was so hard to keep them out and we were really disappointed.

“But I think we could have nicked the goal. I thought we could have got something when James McFadden was playing really well and Kevin Kyle was causing them problems in the air.”

It was a fourth successive defeat for Berti Vogts’ side but Dailly was pleased with the result, if not the performance.

“There’s no problems with confidence,” he added.

“We’re coming into every game looking to win and I said to the boys if we keep battling like that we’ll get results.”
