Givens hands out two debuts in U-21 friendly

Republic of Ireland U-21 boss Don Givens handed debuts to Liverpool’s Darren Potter and Paddy McCarthy of Manchester City for the friendly against the Poles.

The Irish were hoping for a repeat of when these teams met last August, when Stephen Elliott grabbed a hat-trick in a 5-1 win.
