Defender Michael Svensson is again ruled out by injury as Southampton bid to boost their hopes of clinching a place in Europe with victory against Bolton tomorrow.

Defender Michael Svensson is again ruled out by injury as Southampton bid to boost their hopes of clinching a place in Europe with victory against Bolton tomorrow.

Svensson has failed to recover from the calf strain that has sidelined him for Southampton’s last five matches.

Latvian striker Marian Pahars continues on the left hand side of midfield with Kevin Phillips and James Beattie continuing in attack while Jason Dodd and Matthew Oakley are out for the season with knee injuries.
