Angel set for Villa return

Aston Villa hope to be boosted by the return of leading scorer Juan Pablo Angel for tomorrow’s trip to Middlesbrough.

The Colombian international, who has scored 21 times this season, has missed the last three games with a knee injury but is now back in training.

Villa also hope to have midfielder Gavin McCann (ankle) and central defender Ronny Johnsen (gashed knee) in contention at the Riverside Stadium.

Midfielder Lee Hendrie is missing as he begins a two-match suspension.
