Bohs lose to bottom-of-the-table Vikings
Dublin City 2 Bohemians 1
Keith Foy gave bottom of the table Dublin City a deserved first win of the season with a second-half penalty as title contenders Bohs suffered a damaging defeat.
Damien Lynch pulled down man-of-the-match Gary O’Neill, an ex-Bohs player, and Foy confidently stroked home the spot kick.
Bohs missed three good chances before the sides swapped goals midway through the first half.
Vikings went in front on 23 minutes when O’Neill out-jumped Matt Gregg to head home Foy’s free-kick.
That lasted only two minutes, however, as Glen Crowe was alert to Robbie Horgan being way off his line and lobbed the Vikings' keeper from 25 yards.
