Ex-soccer boss quits ITV after racist slur

Football pundit Ron Atkinson was “devastated” today after resigning from ITV Sport for making a racist comment about a black Chelsea player.

Atkinson, 65, had no choice but to quit after it emerged that his off-air remark about defender Marcel Desailly was unwittingly broadcast in the Middle East.
