City players in for extra training

Manchester City’s under-fire players resumed the battle for Premiership survival with an extra training session at the club’s Carrington training ground this morning.

Amid reports of dressing room unrest that erupted in the wake of Saturday’s pitiful 3-1 home defeat to Southampton which left Kevin Keegan’s men fourth bottom of the table, just two points above the drop zone, it is understood senior members of the City squad requested extra training to ensure the team were fully prepared for one of the most important months in the club’s entire history.
