A Nikos Dabizas own-goal left Leicester deep in relegation trouble as Blackburn dragged themselves clear of the Barclaycard Premiership drop zone.

The Greek international diverted Andy Cole’s 42nd-minute cross into his own net to hand all three points to Rovers on a tense afternoon at Ewood Park.

Ian Walker had earlier saved superbly from Vratislav Gresko’s deflected drive, but although his side battled manfully throughout, they could not force their way back into the game.
