Houllier confident about future

Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is confident he will still be in charge at Anfield for the start of next season and claims the club will win the Premiership title “at some stage”.

Speculation about the Frenchman’s future has been almost as intense as that concerning Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri but, despite another disappointing campaign with only the fourth Champions League place to play for, Houllier remains optimistic.
