The width of the woodwork denied Clive Delaney a winner on his Derry debut.

The giant defender made his first appearance for his new club following injury and suspension and almost won all three points on the hour.

But his towering header from a Gareth McGlynn free kick came back off the crossbar.

Bohs started well and Fergal Harking brought a super save from Derry keeper Patrick Jennings on 31 minutes.

Five minutes later, however, Bohs were reduced to ten men when ex-Derry league winner James Keddy was sent off following an off the ball tussle with Derry skipper Eamonn Doherty.
