Didier Agathe claims Celtic have the belief they will see off Villarreal to secure a UEFA Cup semi-final spot.

The Glasgow giants have to do what no other side in the competition has done this season – including Roma and Galatasary – in scoring in the El Madrigal to knock out the Spaniards.

Henrik Larsson cancelled out Jose Josico’s header to give Celtic hope of going all the way to Gothenburg.

It is a position which is not unusual to Celtic, but although they will have to chase at least a goal next week, Agathe is backing his team-mates to dump Villarreal out.

“Our belief can make a difference and we need to go there very confident,” he said.

“We have been in this position before but we have great team spirit. We need to be really strong and confident.”
