No change for Liverpool
Liverpool will be expected to field an unchanged side when they take on Arsenal at Highbury on Good Friday.
Boss Gerard Houllier would be reluctant to change the team that played as well as it has done in months to beat Blackburn 4-0 last Sunday, although he may consider an extra defensive midfield player in Danny Murphy instead of El-Hadji Diouf.
With Arsenal having been dumped from the FA Cup semi-finals and the Champions League last eight in four amazing days this week, Liverpool believe they will catch the north Londoners on the back foot and hope to take advantage.
They may be 25 points behind the league leaders, but they will take heart from Arsenal’s loss of form and hope to repeat the sort of performance that produced a 1-0 win for the Merseysiders at Chelsea earlier in the season.
Houllier could well have Vladimir Smicer and Salif Diao back in the squad after injury, while Chris Kirkland is still injured, although Steve Finnan may be close to a first team squad recall.
Provisional squad: Dudek, Carragher, Hyypia, Biscan, Riise, Diouf, Hamann, Gerrard, Murphy, Kewell, Owen, Heskey, Baros, Cheyrou, Luzi, Traore, Pongolle, Henchoz.
