Villa appoint new chief exec

Aston Villa have appointed Bruce Langham as the new chief executive of the club’s plc.

Langham, who served Fulham in the same capacity from 2001 to 2003, will take up the post on May 10, with Doug Ellis relinquishing the position and continuing as executive chairman of the club.
