Trio out for Athlone Town

Athlone Town will be without keeper Anthony Fennelly (ankle), Alan Kelly (knee) and Des Hope (hamstring) for the visit of Kilkenny City on Friday.

Athlone boss Aaron Callaghan said: “Friday’s game will be difficult particularly after Kilkenny’s victory over Finn Harps. It proves on any given day that each team is capable of beating each other.

“Consistency is the key to sustaining any challenge for promotion and it is up to ourselves to set our own targets. Our attitude will have to be spot on.”
