Dublin City launches share issue

Premier Division eircom league side Dublin City FC have launched a share issue scheme.

The share price has been set at €1 per share but they are only available in a minimum block of 200, making the minimum investment €200.

The move is seen as part of an ambitious plan to help the club with its off-the-field activities and future development, as well as addressing the club’s financial options in the long-term.

Ronan Seery, Dublin City chief executive, said today: "This share issue gives people an opportunity to support the club in its future plans and join in its development.

"We have plans to build a stadium of our own so the fans can have facilities they deserve. This whole venture can be fuelled by people power," Seery added.

Dublin City was promoted from the eircom First Division as champions last season.

The 'Vikings', as they are known, have expressed their desire to be playing in European competition over the next three years.

An information booklet along with the offer Prospectus (PDF Format) is available from Dublin City FC, Drumcondra Road, Dublin 9 or www.dublincityfc.com.
