London boys goalless at half-time

Chelsea and Arsenal are scoreless at half-time in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Arsenal were the better team in the early stages before Chelsea came more into the game as the half wore on, but neither goalkeeper was called upon to make a serious save.

The closest either side came to scoring was after 11 minutes when Sol Campbell headed Dennis Bergkamp’s deep left wing free-kick wide at the far post.

The atmosphere was superb and loud chants of “There’s only one Ranieri” rang out around Stamford Bridge in support of the under-pressure manager.
