The eircom League Premier Division is to be increased from 10 to 12 teams from 2005, it was announced today.

The new arrangements were decided at the eircom League AGM in Dublin this afternoon.

The First Division will revert to a 10-team league with no play-offs at the end of the forthcoming season. The new season begins on Thursday.

One team is to be relegated from the Premier Division at the end of the campaign, with three teams being promoted from the First Division.
