Newcastle will hold a minute’s silence ahead of tonight’s UEFA Cup clash with Real Mallorca as a mark of respect to the victims of the bombings in Madrid.

The game has been given the go-ahead by UEFA despite calls from the four Spanish clubs involved in the competition for their ties to be postponed.
