Livingston manager Davie Hay has revealed he has already decided on his CIS Insurance Cup final team – and will let the players in on the secret tomorrow.

The Almondvale outfit, who went into administration last month, are looking forward to their first-ever cup final.

Administration led to a number of players being sacked but Hay was allowed to keep most of his preferred performers and, as a result, picking a side to take on Hibernian at Hampden Park on Sunday was not too taxing.

And he insisted that giving the players the news they had either been hoping to hear or had been dreading was best got out of the way 48 hours before kick-off.

He said: “I will tell them tomorrow. We have tended to do that for most games anyway. I certainly try to give the team out prior to the game, although it doesn’t always work out that way.

“You make your preparations to make sure they will be ready at three o’clock on Sunday. There will be a few butterflies but not too many, I hope.”
