Alex Ferguson is tracking a 19-year-old Argentinian playmaker touted as the new Maradona, The People reports.

Manchester United scouts have watched Carlos Tevez, from Boca Juniors, on several occasions.

Ferguson is also interested in Brondby midfielder Thomas Kahlenberg, the paper reports.
