Barmby set to sign for Forest

Nottingham Forest are poised to sign former England international Nicky Barmby on a month’s loan from Leeds.

The 30-year-old playmaker has found first-team opportunities at Elland Road few and far between this season and has expressed a desire for a move to the City Ground.

The Premiership strugglers have given the go-ahead for the move, and the former Liverpool star is expected to put pen to paper tomorrow – in time for Forest’s home game against Bradford at the weekend.
