Keane leaves door open to international return

Roy Keane has left the door open on a dramatic return to international football with the Republic of Ireland as new manager Brian Kerr bids to reach the World Cup finals in Germany.

The 32-year-old was sent home from the Republic’s World Cup preparations in Saipan in 2002 after a bust-up with then boss Mick McCarthy ahead of the tournament.
