Gordon Strachan has parted company with Southampton, according to the club's website.

Gordon Strachan today made his departure from his post as Southampton manager three months ahead of schedule.

Former Coventry boss Strachan, 47 earlier this week, was due to leave the St Mary’s club at the end of the season in order to spend more time with his family.
