Horton parts company with Port Vale

Port Vale boss Brian Horton has parted company with the club by mutual consent after five years in charge at Vale Park.

The former Manchester City manager had taken the side to within a point of the Nationwide Division Two play-offs this season but his current contract was due to expire in the summer.
