Leeds have refuted claims Ugandan tycoon Michael Ezra is closing in on a £60m (€88m) bid to take over the cash-strapped club.

Ezra, through Ugandan newspaper The New Vision, claims he has the money in place to come to Leeds’ rescue, with the club just three days away from the latest ‘standstill’ agreement deadline imposed by principal creditors.
