Former Aston Villa striker Savo Milosevic scored either side of half-time to ensure Raddy Antic won his first home game in charge of Celta Vigo.

Antic, who has been linked with the managerial vacancy at Tottenham, has been drafted in until the end of the season to try and save Celta from relegation from Spain’s top flight.

Milosevic’s goals put them on course for a seemingly comfortable win over Villarreal at the Balaidos Stadium before Brazilian striker Sonny Anderson scored six minutes from time to set up a nervy finale.

Meanwhile Ronaldinho score the winner as Barcelona continued their recent revival with an impressive 2-1 victory at Osasuna, one of their rivals for a Champions League place.

Substitute Luis Enrique of Barca and Osasuna’s Alfredo Sanchez were both sent off for violent conduct in injury-time.

Barca move into fourth place ahead of Athletic Bilbao, whose 2-1 win over Murcia leaves John Toshack’s side rooted to the bottom of the table.
