Chelsea boss to face audit checks

Roman Abramovich, the Russian billionaire owner of Chelsea soccer club, will face checks by Russia’s highest auditing body starting next month, its chief said in Moscow today.

Sergei Stepashin, the head of the Auditing Chamber, said its workers will analyse Abramovich’s activities as governor of Chukotka, a remote Arctic province.
