Cheyrou brace sees Reds overcome Newcastle

Liverpool have beaten Newcastle 2-1 in their FA Cup fourth round clash at Anfield this evening thanks to a Bruno Cheyrou brace.

He opened the scoring in the second minute.

Newcastle replied after four minutes with a Laurent Robert free-kick.

The winner came after 61 minutes as Cheyrou powered his header home from an excellent cross from Steven Gerrard.
