FA: No Kleberson evidence

The Football Association have not received any evidence of untoward activity concerning Manchester United’s signing of Brazilian Kleberson.

The Football Association have not received any evidence of untoward activity concerning Manchester United’s signing of Brazilian Kleberson.

There have been claims that United authorised an unlicensed agent to act on their behalf during negotiations for the £6m (€8.7m) signing of Kleberson from Atletico Paranense last summer.

Using of an unlicensed agent breaches FIFA regulations and would need to be investigated by the FA if they believe there is sufficient evidence to warrant it.

FA spokesman Nick Barron said: “To my knowledge we have not received anything in relation to this.

“If we are shown evidence we will look at it, but even that would not necessarily lead to an investigation.”
