'Limited redundancies' at Parkhead
Celtic have announced a “limited number of redundancies” at the club in a cost-cutting exercise.
The Parkhead plc board want to improve efficiency across its business operations.
But the savings from the redundancies are expected to be ploughed back into footballing side of the club.
Celtic could shed up to 30 jobs with the cost-cutting measures.
A Parkhead statement said: “Celtic plc today announced the start of a rationalisation programme as the club moves to improve efficiency and lower costs across its business operations.
“The programme is expected to result in a limited number of redundancies, with some unprofitable operations likely to close.
“Celtic will enter into a consultative process with the employees concerned over the coming weeks.
“The measures are expected to yield significant cost savings to the club.”
