Keith Hackett has been praised for his role in relaxing the "zero tolerance" policy of refereeing in the Barclaycard Premiership.

Hackett is in temporary charge of referees following the departure of Philip Don last year and in the past six weeks there has been a shift in emphasis from match officials.
