Barmby starting for Leeds
Nick Barmby has been handed a shock recall against his former club, with the Leeds midfielder starting his first match for 10 months.
Barmby is one of three changes to the midfield following Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle, with David Batty out with an ankle injury and Seth Johnson dropped after an awful performance at St James’ Park, while James Milner is back on the bench.
With Alan Smith completing a two-match ban, caretaker-boss Eddie Gray has recalled Eirik Bakke after the Norwegian was rested in midweek, while Salomon Olembe has also been given a start for the first time since the 6-1 hammering at Portsmouth on November 6.
