The former England midfielder picked up a calf injury against Manchester United and was forced to sit out the 2-0 defeat by Portsmouth, but should be given the all clear for the Addicks match.

Stephen Carr is serving a one-match suspension while Christian Ziege, Simon Davies, Bobby Zamora and Jamie Redknapp are still in the treatment room, giving 21-year-old midfielder Johnnie Jackson the chance to win his second start for Spurs.
