Svensson joins Canaries

First Division Norwich have completed the signing of striker Mathias Svensson from Charlton for an undisclosed fee.

Svensson, who spent a successful spell on loan at Derby earlier this season, has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Carrow Road.

Manager Nigel Worthington told the club’s official website: “He’s big, strong and will pose problems for defenders. The lad has played in the Premiership and I believe he’s another quality addition to our squad.”

The Swedish international is in the City squad to face Ipswich at Portman Road on Sunday, and could form a new-look forward line alongside Leon McKenzie.
