Thierry Henry lost out to France team-mate Zinedine Zidane in the race to be crowned FIFA’s World Player of the Year.

The Real Madrid midfielder came out on top of the poll to win the award for the third time in his career – the second man to land a hat-trick of crowns after team-mate Ronaldo, who came third this year.
