Birch: Stock will rise if players perform

Leeds chief executive Trevor Birch believes the players have a significant role to play in the potential sale of the club.

Birch has until January 19 to find a buyer for debt-ridden Leeds, with up to five consortia apparently in the running after the club yesterday confirmed to the Stock Exchange they are in talks with a number of interested parties regarding a takeover.
