Di Canio set for Charlton return
Paolo di Canio returns to the Charlton squad to face Southampton after recovering from the groin injury which kept him out of last weekend’s defeat to Leeds.
But fellow striker Kevin Lisbie has only a 50-50 chance of a return after back trouble and looks set to miss second consecutive game.
Luke Young is training again following his ankle injury but is not yet ready for a recall in defence.
Finnish international Jonatan Johansson is still struggling with a thigh problem and is also ruled out, while Richard Rufus and Gary Rowett remain long-term casualties.
Stephen Hughes has signed a contract to stay at The Valley until the end of the season and is pushing for a place on the bench after scoring in the reserves this week.
