Former Celtic player Jim Kennedy has died after a long illness.

Former Celtic player Jim Kennedy has died after a long illness.

Kennedy played for the club between 1955 and 1965, making 241 appearances and scoring two goals.

He had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for nine years and had recently been admitted to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

His family were at his bedside when he passed away this morning.
