Anderlecht's win over Lyon has left Group A wide open ahead of the final matches of the group stage.

After an even opening, it was Lyon who took the initiative with a series of lightning attacks, Piguy Luyindula striking the post from distance.

However, it was Anderlecht who ended the half on top, though Hannu Tihinen's missed a sitter, turning the impressive Ivica Mornar's cross over an untended goal.

But the tall Finnish defender made no mistake on 71 minutes, heading home from close distance after Mornar's cross from the left side of Lyon's area was helped on its way by a slight deflection.
