Hedman expected to start for Hoops

Celtic goalkeeper Magnus Hedman looks set to face Bayern Munich in tomorrow’s Champions League showdown despite suffering a back spasm at Dundee United.

The Sweden international did not train today as a precaution but he is set to push Rob Douglas back down the pecking order despite the Scotland number one replacing him at half-time in the 5-1 win at Tannadice.

Alan Thompson and Liam Miller are also set to continue after returning from injury at the weekend.

Martin O’Neill is unlikely to split up strike pairing Henrik Larsson and Chris Sutton after they scored all five goals against Ian McCall’s men, leaving John Hartson on the bench.

But the Celtic boss’ biggest dilemma is whether to continue with Johan Mjallby in defence or recall Jackie McNamara.
