Pair return for Newcastle

Jonathan Woodgate and Kieron Dyer are back in the Newcastle squad for tomorrow’s Barclaycard Premiership clash with Manchester City.

Woodgate has missed the last 11 games after undergoing surgery for a double hernia while Dyer has been out for six with a hamstring problem.

Skipper Alan Shearer, who withdrew ahead of the 5-0 defeat at Chelsea with a throat infection, is also back, but there is no Hugo Viana (flu) or Nolberto Solano (international duty), so 21-year-old midfielder Bradley Orr is drafted in.
