Wolves defender Joleon Lescott has undergone an operation on his knee in America, but will not be rushed back into action too soon.

Lescott was one of the stars of last season’s promotion-winning campaign as Wolves returned to the top flight for the first time in 19 years after beating Sheffield United in the Nationwide One play-off final at Cardiff.
