Bradford tonight sacked manager Nicky Law, after a run of 11 Nationwide Division One matches without a victory.

The Bantams drew 1-1 at home to Walsall, missing out on the opportunity to move out of the relegation zone.

And after the match, Bradford issued a statement on their official website, www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk, which read: “The board of directors have decided to terminate the employment of manager Nicky Law with immediate effect.

“The board felt they had given him as long as they could to turn the current form around, notwithstanding the pressure they had been under to take this action for the last month from supporters.

“The board hope an appointment can be made within the next two weeks prior to the next league fixture with stoke on November 22.”
